This policy describes the cookies and similar browser-storage technologies used on Today's Startup News and the controls available to you.

1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags and identifiers that remember information or measure use. Some are set by TSN; others are controlled by providers whose services appear on our pages.

Cookie names and durations can change when providers update their services. Browser developer tools show the identifiers currently stored on your device.
3. Essential account storage
TSN currently stores login information in browser local storage rather than an authentication cookie. This storage is necessary to keep an account signed in and refresh an expiring access token. Clearing it signs you out. Security sessions expire after seven days unless ended earlier.
4. Analytics and experience measurement
Google Analytics measures visits, sessions, approximate location, device and browser information. Microsoft Clarity measures interactions such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, rendering and performance events and can reconstruct a session view from page and interaction data. Privacy-sensitive form content should be masked by the provider, but you should still avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information.

5. Advertising cookies
Google and other vendors may use cookies or identifiers to serve, limit, personalize and measure advertisements based on visits to TSN or other websites, subject to their settings and applicable law. Even non-personalized ads may use identifiers for frequency capping, aggregate reporting, security and fraud prevention.
You can manage personalized Google advertising in Google Ads Settings. Direct sponsored cards are clearly labelled and may link to an advertiser's website.
6. Your controls
- Use browser controls to block or delete cookies and site data.
- Clear TSN local storage to remove stored login and attribution data; doing so signs you out.
- Use Google Ads Settings to control ad personalization.
- Use provider or industry opt-out tools where available.
Blocking essential storage may prevent account features from working. In regions where consent is legally required, non-essential technologies should be governed by the consent choices presented to you.
7. Changes
