CyberKord, an Italian cybersecurity startup, has raised EUR 2.7 million in a pre-seed round to develop an AI-powered platform that automates IT and cybersecurity operations. The round was led by 360 Capital, with participation from Plus Partners, Addendum Capital and Vento.

The company was founded in Milan in 2026 by Alessandro Maggio, who is chief executive, Dragos Tanasa, the chief AI officer, and Cosimo Michelagnoli, the chief technology officer. CyberKord is building a platform that helps companies identify, investigate and resolve IT and security issues with less manual work.

The problem the startup targets is the gap between finding an issue and fixing it. As companies add infrastructure, software and AI agents, managing security and operational problems gets more complicated. Existing security tools can detect potential threats within minutes, but resolving them often takes much longer because of manual processes and the need for human approval. More frequent and faster cyberattacks add pressure on companies to respond quickly to incidents.

CyberKord's platform uses AI and a Digital Twin of a company's IT infrastructure. The twin connects to existing cloud-based and on-premise tools, maps the relationships between systems, works out the root cause of an issue from an alert or ticket, simulates the proposed fix and then carries out the remediation using the company's own tools. Companies do not need to replace their existing infrastructure to use it.

The system can start a process from a security alert, a support ticket or a message sent through a communication platform such as Microsoft Teams or Slack. Organisations decide how much autonomy the AI is given, and every action it takes is recorded and can be reviewed afterwards. By handling routine operational work, CyberKord aims to free IT and security professionals to focus on infrastructure development, strategic projects and decisions that need human expertise.

Maggio said companies add infrastructure, software and AI agents every week, and that operational work grows faster than any team can handle, so expert time ends up spent on patches, access requests and incidents one ticket at a time. According to him, CyberKord built an AI that does this work from start to finish and shows every step, while the team chooses how far to let it act.

With the new funding, CyberKord plans to develop its platform further and launch its first pilot projects with large European companies in manufacturing, technology, healthcare and telecommunications. The company also intends to expand its team, mainly in technical and commercial roles.
