Reply Next, a Spanish startup building AI software to help brands with large numbers of physical locations manage their digital presence, has raised 400,000 euros in pre‑seed funding to expand its technology and sales teams.

The round was led by 4Founders Capital, an independent investment firm, with participation from business angels Juanjo Mostazo and David Alcobero. The relatively modest size of the round, by AI startup standards, reflects a company still in its earliest commercial stage, using the capital to prove out a product before pursuing a larger seed round.

Reply Next was founded by telecommunications engineer Miguel Peñate to address a problem that scales in direct proportion to how many physical locations a brand operates. A company with a single storefront can reasonably keep track of its Google Business Profile, respond personally to reviews, and monitor how it appears across search and maps. A brand with hundreds or thousands of locations, whether a retail chain, a restaurant franchise, or a multi site service business, faces an entirely different problem: each location generates its own stream of reviews, ratings, customer messages, and local search visibility issues, and no small central team can realistically monitor all of it manually, let alone respond to it in a timely and locally appropriate way.

The platform brings the information and digital interactions tied to each individual location into a single system, giving brands one place to see how every site is performing rather than checking dozens or hundreds of separate listings. Its AI agents are built to respond directly to customers, identify emerging issues or opportunities at a specific location, monitor what competitors nearby are doing, and carry out routine tasks automatically according to guidelines the brand sets centrally. Rather than only managing individual customer interactions as they occur, Reply Next is built to work across three channels central to how customers discover and evaluate a physical location: Google Maps listings, app store reviews for brands with their own apps, and increasingly, AI powered search engines, which are becoming a growing source of how customers find and choose where to go.

That focus on AI powered search reflects a broader shift already underway in how consumers research businesses. As more search traffic moves through AI assistants and generative search tools rather than traditional search engine results pages, how a business is described, reviewed, and ranked inside those AI systems is starting to matter as much as its position in a conventional map listing. A multi location brand that manages its Google Business Profile carefully but has no visibility into how AI search tools are characterizing individual locations risks leaving a meaningful and fast growing discovery channel effectively unmonitored.

Reply Next's ambition extends beyond simply automating responses to existing customer interactions. According to the company, the goal is to move toward a system that can identify opportunities before they are obvious, anticipate problems at a specific location before they escalate into negative reviews or reputational damage, and take action on its own to improve a location's visibility, attract more customers, and increase revenue. That framing positions the product less as a reactive customer service tool and more as an ongoing, location level optimisation layer sitting on top of a brand's existing digital footprint.

With the new funding, Reply Next plans to strengthen both its technology and sales teams, accelerate development of its core platform, and build additional AI agents designed to automate decisions and processes for the brands it serves. Given the round's early stage size, that roadmap is likely to prioritise proving the platform's value with a defined set of pilot customers before scaling into a broader multi location brand market.

Reply Next enters a reputation and local presence management category that has historically been served by a mix of manual agency work and software tools focused narrowly on review monitoring or listing management. Its bet is that AI agents capable of acting across the full range of location level digital signals, rather than simply surfacing alerts for a human to act on, represent a meaningfully different product category as large, multi site brands look to manage growing digital complexity without proportionally growing headcount dedicated to local marketing and reputation management.
