Editorial Policy

We aim to give founders, operators, investors and readers timely, useful and understandable information about startups, funding, technology and the people behind companies. Speed matters, but it does not excuse fabrication, misleading presentation or avoidable factual error.

We prioritize primary material such as company announcements, regulatory filings, official databases, court records, direct interviews and named representatives. Credible secondary reporting and specialist databases may add context and should be attributed where material.

• Material numbers, dates, quotations and claims should be checked against the strongest available source.
• Anonymous sources are used only when the information is important, the source is positioned to know it, and identity protection is justified.
• Press releases are treated as claims from the issuing organization, not as independent proof.
• Rumour, estimate and confirmed fact must be distinguished clearly.

Funding rounds, investors, valuations, acquisitions and jobs are maintained as separate connected records. We distinguish announced funding from valuation and do not infer undisclosed amounts. Company profiles may combine public sources across different dates; the visible verification and update information helps readers judge recency.

Programmatic pages are generated from structured records, but their publication does not remove our responsibility to review data quality, prevent thin or misleading pages and correct verified errors.

Articles should identify the responsible author or editorial desk and display publication information. News, analysis, opinion, interviews, press releases, sponsored material and partner content should be labelled so readers can understand the nature of the work.

Minor style or formatting changes may be made without a correction note. A material change to facts, meaning or conclusions should update the visible timestamp and, where useful to readers, include an explanatory note.

When a material factual error is confirmed, we correct the existing permanent page rather than silently publishing a replacement. Requests should include the URL, disputed statement or field, proposed correction and supporting primary source.

We consider fair responses from people and organizations materially discussed. We do not remove accurate public-interest reporting merely because it is unfavorable. Removal, anonymization or de-indexing may be considered for legal obligations, demonstrated safety risks, privacy harms, duplicate publication or information that no longer serves a legitimate public interest.

TSN may use software and AI to assist research organization, transcription, data extraction, formatting, summaries, metadata or drafting. AI output is not treated as a source. Material facts and quotations require verification, and a responsible human editor remains accountable for published work.

We do not knowingly publish fabricated quotations, invented sources or synthetic media presented as documentary evidence. Materially altered or synthetic visuals should be labelled when their nature would not otherwise be clear.

Editorial decisions are separate from advertising sales. Advertisers and sponsors do not receive a right to approve independent coverage. Sponsored or paid placements are labelled, and affiliate relationships should be disclosed when they could affect a reader's understanding.

Contributors should disclose financial, employment, family or advisory interests that could reasonably be seen as influencing coverage. A disclosed conflict may require reassignment, additional review or a visible note.

We use original, licensed, supplied, public-domain or lawfully reportable media. Credits are included where required or useful. Rights holders may send a specific notice identifying the work, page URL, ownership basis and requested action.
