Opply, an AI‑powered operating platform for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands, has raised $7.5 million. Chalfen Ventures led the round, with Index Ventures, Anthemis, Entrepreneurs First, In This Together and Ventures Together also participating. The company, which operates from London and Chicago, announced the funding on October 21, 2026.
Opply says it grew gross revenue 15‑fold in the past 12 months. Since opening its Chicago operations in 2025, its US business has grown 30‑fold over the same period. The company attributes the growth to demand from CPG brands that want to reduce costs, streamline operations and speed up expansion.
Opply describes itself as an agentic operating system for CPG brands, initially focused on food and beverage. Its product, called Opply Brain, combines specialised AI agents, proprietary data, an extensive supplier network and flexible financing. Together they carry out core operations including sourcing, procurement, financing, inventory management, production planning and logistics.
The company draws a line between software that analyses and software that acts. Its agents are designed to execute and finance transactions, not only to recommend them. That includes managing stock levels, coordinating production and making sure deliveries arrive.
"CPG supply chains have remained fragmented and manual for far too long," said Helen Murphy, co‑founder and chief executive. "Our AI technology doesn't just tell brands what needs to be done. It does the work, managing everything from sourcing and procurement to payments and supply chains."
Martin Postel, co‑founder and chief technology officer, said AI has the potential to accelerate growth and transform operations across the CPG industry. Murphy brings consumer goods experience to the company, while Postel's background is in AI and manufacturing research.
Opply puts the global CPG market at $18.9 trillion. Its technology is built on vertical AI, meaning models and workflows designed for one industry, an area that has drawn growing investment according to McKinsey research cited in the company's announcement.
A separate McKinsey survey of 41 senior commercial leaders in the United States and Europe found that many CPG companies use agentic AI mainly to cut costs and speed up existing tasks, while McKinsey believes the larger benefit lies in growth.
Opply's earlier funding included a seed round of about $4 million in 2022. Entrepreneurs First, which backed the company at its start, and Anthemis, which invested at seed, are returning investors in the new round.
Mike Chalfen, founder of Chalfen Ventures and the sole general partner of the London firm, said it is a beautiful thing to see a team he backed at the start exceed his high expectations. He described Opply as having custom AIs that together have proven they can make customer operations work from end to end, along with exceptional growth and a large market opportunity.
Chalfen is one of Opply's first investors.
Opply says the money will support further expansion across the UK and US and continued development of its agentic platform. The company has said its rapid growth in both markets reflects strong demand for technology that changes how CPG businesses operate and scale.
Several startups are applying AI agents to purchasing. Freehand has raised $75 million and Didero has raised $30 million for AI procurement. Gain recently announced AI employees for procurement alongside a $12 million seed round, and Jampack AI raised a $3.2 million seed round to automate wholesale operations for CPG brands.
Opply pairs its agents with its own supplier network and financing, so that one platform covers sourcing, ordering and payment.
Opply has not disclosed its valuation or customer names in the announcement.
