Sloneek Raises $6 Million to Build Europe's First Agentic HR Platform Controlled by Voice and Chat

The European HR software market is worth more than $4.8 billion, yet for most organisations, it remains a maze of disconnected tools, manual data entry, and siloed information that HR teams navigate every day without meaningful automation. Sloneek, a Prague‑based HR SaaS company founded in 2019, has spent the last seven years building toward a different model, and has now raised $6 million to complete the job.
The oversubscribed round was led by Orbit Capital and Venture to Future Fund. Crucially, Orbit Capital structured the investment primarily as venture debt, citing Sloneek's high commercial traction and strict cost discipline as ideal for this model. The raise is the largest in Sloneek's history, following a €350,000 pre‑seed in 2020, a €1 million seed in 2022, and a €3.6 million round in 2024 led by Purple Ventures. The company currently serves more than 500 B2B clients, managing over 50,000 employees globally. Its enterprise client roster includes major brands like Grant Thornton, MAN, WPP Media, and Twisto.
What Agentic HR Actually Means
The term "agentic" has proliferated across the software industry in recent months, but Sloneek's use of it is grounded in a specific product direction. At the centre of the platform is Sloneek Intelligence, an AI‑powered HR agent that automates routine HR tasks and provides workforce managers with a unified view of their organisation. The platform manages the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through attendance tracking, performance management, people analytics, and offboarding.
The company's long‑term vision, as articulated by CEO Filip Lukáč and co‑founder Milan Rataj, is to build an HR platform that users control entirely through chat or voice commands, integrated natively into the tools people already use every day and connected to company‑wide data systems. The ambition is for Sloneek to stop being perceived as a software application and to function instead as an AI working partner embedded invisibly into an organisation's operational fabric.
Sloneek was among the first HR software companies in Europe to integrate generative AI directly into its core platform, a decision the company says accelerated both customer acquisition and international expansion rates well ahead of competitors who bolted AI on top of legacy interfaces after the fact.
The Funding Round and Investor Signal
The oversubscription of the round carries its own message. Orbit Capital's leadership reflects a conviction that the HR software market is entering a structural transition away from feature‑rich but passive tools, and toward platforms that act rather than just report. Venture to Future Fund, which has backed Sloneek since its 2024 raise, is deepening its commitment at a significantly higher valuation, consistent with the fund's stated view that Sloneek has the management quality, business plan clarity, and market‑entry execution to succeed internationally.
Filip Lukáč noted that Orbit Capital's involvement was the deciding factor due to strategic alignment rather than capital alone, adding that the round being oversubscribed with follow‑on participation was a direct reflection of the team's strong operational efficiency.
Expansion Plans and Use of Capital
The fresh capital is directed at three distinct areas. First, immediate geographic expansion into the United Kingdom and Poland, where Sloneek is actively deploying dedicated go‑to‑market teams. Second, the development of deep, localized country integrations, connecting Sloneek's platform with specific regional payroll systems, compliance frameworks, and workplace tools. Third, the completion of Sloneek's full agentic capabilities, including the natural language and voice interfaces that represent the final layer of the product roadmap.
The company has been explicit that it does not intend to position itself as an AI add‑on to existing HR software. The bet is that businesses will eventually stop buying separate tools for recruitment, onboarding, attendance, performance, analytics, and compliance, and will instead consolidate onto a single intelligent platform that can be operated by any employee without specialist HR training.
Sloneek's platform is available for enterprise customers at sloneek.com, where the company offers direct access to Sloneek Intelligence and its full HR suite.
